Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend

This entire weekend, the Star Wars universe takes over the Disneyland Resort with this running extravaganza. Choose your distance (5k, 10k, or half marathon) and course (run or obstacle), and each run will have a different theme, from Jedi Knights to Rebels and more. Throughout the weekend, Star Wars festivities will take place all over the Disneyland Resort, as well as a health & fitness expo in the Disneyland Hotel.

This free monthly event takes place over many blocks in Downtown Los Angeles. Many galleries will open late, and some parking lots will contain more art, vendors, food trucks, entertainment, and more. Unless you know business owners, free parking barely exists in Downtown LA, although some meters only operate until 8pm. First-time visitors should attend with someone who has gone here prior.

The Rookery in Downtown Pomona turns three this weekend, and to celebrate, they will have dozens of rare brews on tap throughout the weekend. Unlike last year’s anniversary which operated like a beer tasting festival, this weekend will not require any admission fees. Simply show up, enjoy the rare brews, and pay as you go. The Rookery will offer 4oz pours of these brews as well for those who want to treat this like a beer tasting event. Expect mostly heavy and strong beers at this one – The Rookery does not slouch when it comes to beer selection. The Rookery has a full-service kitchen with their full menu available all day. Guests can find free parking around Downtown Pomona, and can avoid paying to park in metered lots.

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut – Sing-Along
